BEGINNERS & THE SNATCH

This is Alice.

Alice is on her very first week of CrossFit, and here she is learning one of our most complex barbell movements; the Snatch.


We started her out on an empty 8kg barbell today, and rather than overloading her with the complexity of the full movement from the floor, we shortened the bar path to start just above her knees; called a Hang Power Snatch.


As Alice progresses in her journey she will make her way down to the floor and add weight to her bar... But for now, we just keep it simple, learn the basics, and have fun with the process.


Don’t be afraid to try CrossFit because of the complex movements...
